March training

Been busy training with power generation companies this month as well as Quad training, as can be seen on facebook. Pic is about to go down the big hill and a good example of the mud collected off road driving when the tow bar is positioned too low. Bit of spring in the air today but the ground conditions are still very wet.

Back home

Fresh back from a month in Australia on a family visit and I am Quad Bike training in the snowy Trossachs, bit of a temperature change from the Great Barrier Reef!
Managed to have a fun drive in this around the forest near Melbourne in this Toyota, brilliant truck, shame they don't have it in the UK.

New Motor

My new Jeep Grand Cherokee, very able on road and full of good kit for off roading, I'll keep you posted on it but a lot cheaper than the Discovery !
Interesting day training in the camper van above, from Holland, 130 chassis so it was pretty good off road just struggled to get round the corners.

Mad on Mud Club

George and his yellow buggy joined the Club today, activity for last Sunday, busy times!
Club BBQ is Sunday 30th March at 1300 hopefully on the hill, if not in the grass field adjacent. As usual I will do rolls with sausages and burgers etc but please bring your own drinks, could you also let me know if you are attending and bringing a guest so that I have some idea of numbers.
Last year it was so windy I could hardly get the BBQ alight!!!

Spring at last?

Cracking day of sunshine today and warm!
Activity this week has been hedge planting on the access road and preparing the ground to move reception across the public road way from the houses. I have also been clearing some old tree stumps out of the wooded east section to make it a bit more usable and the Police have been back training on site again for the first time this year. French group coming in the morning tomorrow with 4 Land Rovers before going on to Murrayfield. It's all go!!!

Snow?

Well it is nearly the end of February and we have not had any snow yet, apart from a scuffing. Daffodils are very nearly out already. It was the middle of March when we had heavy snow last year so maybe the Club BBQ planned for Sunday 30th March will be our snow bashing event!!??
Sorry about the lack of posts, I could not get blogger to work as unknown to me some compatibilities had been changed, still I'm back now.
Pictures of mid March 2013 below!
